As the Manager of Parts Sales and Marketing, the parts sales team and I oversee all accounts, big and small, throughout our service area. With over 20 years of sales and marketing management experience, I bring in an exceptional foundation of client relationship and account management skills that will ensure all our customers receive the very best in service and reliability.

Raised in Prince George, my family and I have been in Kamloops since 2010 and have made the Thompson-Okanagan our home. I spend my spring and summers on the Shuswap, coaching football in the fall, and ice fishing and snowmobiling the back country in the winter.

I have been in the trucking industry for over 25 years, and I have had the pleasure of experiencing most aspects of the industry through various roles. I have been a driver, an apprentice technician, regional trainer, territory service manager, territory sales manager, dealer manager, and fleet purchaser. This experience has been beneficial for me to understanding the customer’s needs and wants.

In my free time I volunteer on a couple of non-profit boards, along with coaching my local high school’s basketball team. My family and I moved to the Kamloops area five years ago and enjoy living in the area.

Drop by our Kamloops branch, and let us show you how we can elevate your transport experience and streamline your operations.

I joined Dawson International Truck Centres as a Sales Account Manager in the summer of 2024. Previously, I had worked in the electrical wholesale industry since 2007, and I’m excited to bring my customer service expertise to new heights in this role.

I believe in being honest with my customers and clients from the start, treating them the way I would want to be treated. I’m extremely hard-working and willing to go the extra mile for my customers, as they deserve someone who advocates for them.

I’m not just a salesperson, but someone who aims to be a trusted partner that my customers can rely on when issues arise. I enjoy starting each day knowing I have the opportunity to make a difference for my customers and their clients.

In my spare time, I enjoy jumping in my truck and exploring the area’s dirt roads. There’s something about being out in nature that grounds me—I often stop to listen and take in the scenic views along the way. I also enjoy playing golf, embarking on long highway road trips, and spending time with my 10-year-old daughter

Born and raised in Central Alberta, I relocated to Kelowna in the Fall of 2019. I started my career as a Parts Journeyperson and after a decade of experience, I transitioned into the oil patch. For the following 15 years, I worked as a Field Service Hand / Manager, doing rental instrumentation packages for drilling rigs.

Since moving to the Okanagan, I’ve been managing automotive service shops. However, in Spring 2024, I made the decision to step back into the field of parts, joining the Dawson Group. I’m excited to get out on the road and provide excellent service to our South Okanagan customers.

Brad Degenhardt

Manager, Sales & Marketing

I started my career as a driver out of high school and then moved into service where I completed my certification as a red seal journeyman technician. Always looking for a challenge, I moved into sales in 1996 where my experience in operating and repairing trucks soon became a valuable part of my tool box.

In my role as a sales person, my goal has always been to help you get the right truck for your application and to work with you as a partner to your business. A favorite saying I heard once, has become mine. “I don’t sell, I help you buy!” Now, as the Manager of Sales & Marketing, I support the entire Dawson International Sales Team, passing down this same way of thinking.

Throughout my career, I have worked as a truck driver, welder, and equipment operator. My education in these trades, along with a business diploma, comes from post-secondary institutions in Ontario, where I was born and raised.

I made my first big move to Red Deer, Alberta, where I worked as a Hydrovac operator. My next venture was with one of the world’s largest equipment auction companies, where they had me exploring northeast, and east-central Alberta for consignments to auction. This is where I really honed my skills as a sales professional. After that, I worked for an equipment dealer, managing their used equipment facility before moving into retail sales management.

In 2020, my family relocated to Kelowna so we could live in a place we liked to vacation! We have really enjoyed being here, as both our personal and professional lives have thrived. I have continued to work with heavy equipment and trucks, performing appraisals and dispatching rental fleets for various companies.

When I am not working, you might be able to catch me on my motorcycle exploring this beautiful valley, or spending time with my family enjoying the beach or snowy mountains.

I started with Dawson International Truck Centres in late September 2024 and am excited to be part of this new growth venture at their state-of-the-art facility. I promise to bring trust, integrity, and compassion to every customer interaction that I have. I look forward to working with you!

I started in the transport industry in 2001 as a diesel engine technician. Since 2011, I have held the positions of account manager, outside parts and service sales, equipment rental advisor, and more.

I joined Dawson in the summer of 2023, managing accounts in the Central Okanagan, with weekly visits as far east as Grand Forks.

I pride myself on having the hands-on industry knowledge that is required to best serve my customers.

I was born in New Westminster, B.C. At the age of five, my family and I relocated to Chilliwack, and I lived there into post-secondary school, eventually leaving to chase a professional career in lacrosse. I played semi-professional lacrosse up until 2023 with the WLA Coquitlam Adanacs. The wear and tear on my body, as well as the time away from home, led me to the decision to retire.

I started my professional career in the automotive and medium truck industry in 2013 and have had a variety of roles within the business over the years. My biggest career success is hands down the growth and mentorship of my team members throughout their tenure. Seeing my mentee’s progress within the company to achieve their career goals has been a significant source of personal satisfaction in my career. At my last company, we had transformed and underperforming location into a successful Image and Safety conscious environment that continuously turned a profit annually. The dedication of delivering the best quality of service to our customers was the catalyst in our rebuild. This success paved the way for transition to another opportunity in Abbotsford, where I was entrusted to do the same thing.

My biggest personal achievement is my family and children. I am a very proud father of two beautiful kids and a devoted husband to my wife of seven years.

I am thrilled to be leading the expanding team at Dawson International Truck Centres in Kelowna and Vernon. I am excited about the opportunity to continue growing, building, and investing in our relationships and the services we provide to our valued customers.

I am currently the Manager of Parts for Dawson International Truck Centres in Vernon. I started my career at our Vernon location in 1995 at the age of 13, working in the Shipping and Receiving Department on weekends and school breaks. After graduating from high school in 1999, I went to Kwantlen College to pursue my Red seal for heavy duty parts and was promoted to a Parts Sales person shortly after.

During my 15 years on the parts counter, I also pursued my class 1 drivers license. As I worked shift work, I also drove a logging truck for my Dad and Brother in my off house. In 2017, my role changed again, as I was promoted first to a Senior Parts Supervisor and then to Parts Manager shortly after.

I now work Monday to Friday, driving only infrequently to help out and reserving my spare time for my wife and kids. I also enjoy camping with family and friends, dirt biking, riding my Harley, boating the Okanagan lakes and snowboarding in the winter months.

Along with the rest of the Vernon Parts Team, I strive to deliver the best customer service level to our current and growing Dawson customer family.

I have worked as a parts salesman since 1990. For the first five years of my parts career, I sold automotive, marine, and industrial parts, before switching over to heavy duty trucks. In my line of work, having a strong relationship with the customer has always been the top priority for me.

I enjoy reconnecting with a former customers that I haven’t seen in many years, striking up a new conversation, and picking up right where we left off.

In my free time, I like casting a few lines in a river and finding some new lines down the hill on my snowboard or mountain bike.

I joined the Dawson Group in November of 2019 as the Director of Idealease and early in 2020 was promoted to Vice President of Operations for both Dawson International Truck Centres and Dawson Idealease.

I have a strong background in manufacturing, transportation, distribution, as well as retail operations and spent the early years of my career supervising and managing sawmill operations in central British Columbia. After that, I made the change to the oil and gas sector where he held many different roles with Parkland Fuel Corporation. During this time, I developed a passion for the transportation industry as well as business improvements driven by the employee engagement and customer interactions and returned to school to complete my master’s in business administration at the University of Northern British Columbia. Prior to joining the Dawson Family, I also spent two years as Operations Manager for Four Rivers CO-OP where I oversaw all fuel distribution, convivence store, grocery store and hardware store operations.
