Daniel Buchanan

Outside Parts Sales
Kamloops, Cariboo & Nicola

I grew up in my family’s automotive shop and spent the last nine years working in distribution and wholesale. I started with Dawson in May of 2023 as Outside Parts Sales Coordinator and was promoted to Outside Parts Sales in October 2023.

I am passionate about innovation and business development and working with the team to provide exceptional service to our customers.

On my days off you can find me on the golf course or ski hill.

Kevin Dergez

Manager, Parts Sales & Marketing

As the Manager of Parts Sales and Marketing, the parts sales team and I oversee all accounts, big and small, throughout our service area. With over 20 years of sales and marketing management experience, I bring in an exceptional foundation of client relationship and account management skills that will ensure all our customers receive the very best in service and reliability.

Raised in Prince George, my family and I have been in Kamloops since 2010 and have made the Thompson-Okanagan our home. I spend my spring and summers on the Shuswap, coaching football in the fall, and ice fishing and snowmobiling the back country in the winter.

Mac Corrie

Branch Manager

I have been in the trucking industry for over 25 years, and I have had the pleasure of experiencing most aspects of the industry through various roles. I have been a driver, an apprentice technician, regional trainer, territory service manager, territory sales manager, dealer manager, and fleet purchaser. This experience has been beneficial for me to understanding the customer’s needs and wants.

In my free time I volunteer on a couple of non-profit boards, along with coaching my local high school’s basketball team. My family and I moved to the Kamloops area five years ago and enjoy living in the area.

Come in and see us at the Kamloops branch so we can see how we can meet your transport needs and help solve some of your problems.

Brad Degenhardt

Manager, Sales & Marketing

I started my career as a driver out of high school and then moved into service where I completed my certification as a red seal journeyman technician. Always looking for a challenge, I moved into sales in 1996 where my experience in operating and repairing trucks soon became a valuable part of my tool box.

In my role as a sales person, my goal has always been to help you get the right truck for your application and to work with you as a partner to your business. A favorite saying I heard once, has become mine. “I don’t sell, I help you buy!” Now, as the Manager of Sales & Marketing, I support the entire Dawson International Sales Team, passing down this same way of thinking.

Graeme Gee

Manager, Parts

I started my career with the company in 1979, working my way up from parts driver to my current position of parts manager, which I have held since 1992.

One of the things I have really enjoyed about this job, is seeing the next generation coming into the business after working with either their parents or even grandparents.

My biggest sense of pride is having a part in building a team that takes such pride in what they do. I see their dedication everyday and it shows in how they take care of each and every one of our customers.

Jason Christensen

Outside Parts Sales
Kelowna, Lake Country & West Kootenays

I started in the transport industry in 2001 as a diesel engine technician. Since 2011, I have held the positions of account manager, outside parts and service sales, equipment rental advisor, and more.

I joined Dawson in the summer of 2023, managing accounts in the Central Okanagan, with weekly visits as far east as Grand Forks.

I pride myself on having the hands-on industry knowledge that is required to best serve my customers.

Mike Hill

Outside Parts Sales
West Kelowna & South Okanagan

I was born in Canada and raised in New Zealand. I have decades of experience, both self-employed and in previous territory management and understand the importance of timely follow-up and follow-through in our business.

If you can’t find me on the road, you will find me and my family on Okanagan Lake.

Steve Pearce

Manager, Service

I have been in the truck repair business for my entire career and have spent over 25 of those years in OEM dealerships. I started as an apprentice in England on a heavy plant and maintaining on-off road equipment. I also managed an independent repair shop for seven years during my time overseas. I relocated to Canada in 2007.

I have been in operations management, overseeing a 24/7 repair shop with over 50 staff and have also been in service management since my move to Canada.

I am very happy to be settled in Kelowna, and look forward to a bright future, servicing new and established customers, many who I have known a long time.

Chad Wagner

Manager, Parts

I am currently the Manager of Parts for Dawson International Truck Centres in Vernon. I started my career at our Vernon location in 1995 at the age of 13, working in the Shipping and Receiving Department on weekends and school breaks. After graduating from high school in 1999, I went to Kwantlen College to pursue my Red seal for heavy duty parts and was promoted to a Parts Sales person shortly after.

During my 15 years on the parts counter, I also pursued my class 1 drivers license. As I worked shift work, I also drove a logging truck for my Dad and Brother in my off house. In 2017, my role changed again, as I was promoted first to a Senior Parts Supervisor and then to Parts Manager shortly after.

I now work Monday to Friday, driving only infrequently to help out and reserving my spare time for my wife and kids. I also enjoy camping with family and friends, dirt biking, riding my Harley, boating the Okanagan lakes and snowboarding in the winter months.

Along with the rest of the Vernon Parts Team, I strive to deliver the best customer service level to our current and growing Dawson customer family.

David McCreary

Outside Parts Sales
North Okanagan, Shuswap & Central Rockies

I have worked as a parts salesman since 1990. For the first five years of my parts career, I sold automotive, marine, and industrial parts, before switching over to heavy duty trucks. In my line of work, having a strong relationship with the customer has always been the top priority for me.

I enjoy reconnecting with a former customers that I haven’t seen in many years, striking up a new conversation, and picking up right where we left off.

In my free time, I like casting a few lines in a river and finding some new lines down the hill on my snowboard or mountain bike.

Gary Bertrand

Sales Account Manager
Greater Vernon Area & West Kootenays

I started working with the Vernon International Trucks dealership in the spring of 1980.

I have always enjoyed a challenge and am proud of the different roles I have worked in during my more than 40-year tenure – parts runner, shipper/receiver, parts technician, outside parts sales, truck sales and today, Sales Account Manager.

As a Sales Account Manager my goal has always been to help you get the right product that will best suit your needs – working with you as a partner, more than just a customer.

As a member of the Dawson Group family, I practice our core values every day – People First, Integrity, Excellence and Respect.

If you are requiring help with your transportation needs, please feel free to reach out to me. We can discuss how our products and services can help you serve your customers better!

Charlie Beck

Vice President, Operations

I joined the Dawson Group in November of 2019 as the Director of Idealease and early in 2020 was promoted to Vice President of Operations for both Dawson International Truck Centres and Dawson Idealease.

I have a strong background in manufacturing, transportation, distribution, as well as retail operations and spent the early years of my career supervising and managing sawmill operations in central British Columbia. After that, I made the change to the oil and gas sector where he held many different roles with Parkland Fuel Corporation. During this time, I developed a passion for the transportation industry as well as business improvements driven by the employee engagement and customer interactions and returned to school to complete my master’s in business administration at the University of Northern British Columbia. Prior to joining the Dawson Family, I also spent two years as Operations Manager for Four Rivers CO-OP where I oversaw all fuel distribution, convivence store, grocery store and hardware store operations.

My passion for the transportation industry, and love of the Thompson-Nicole and Okanagan regions attracted me to the Dawson Group. I am also very passionate about representing the International, Isuzu, Idealease and Trail King brands and looks for ways to improve the people, business and communities we operate in.
