Celebrating the best of Kamloops’ Pride

“True belonging doesn’t require you to change who we are; it requires us to be who we are,” – Brené Brown, researcher and storyteller who’s spent two decades studying courage, vulnerability, shame and empathy.

What a day! Thank you to everyone who came out to celebrate the annual Kamloops Pride Parade this weekend in downtown Kamloops!

Dawson Group employees were joined by their friends and family and we all had an absolute blast celebrating pride in our community. An overwhelming amount of colour, passion, personality, laughter and some incredible looking floats were on display, during one of the most inviting events this summer.

Hopefully you waved to our float, a brand-new pickup truck from Dawson International Truck Centres! During the parade route, our volunteers also handed out candy and Dawson International Truck Centres branded water – both were massive hits with the crowd.

This parade did not signal the end of Pride season. In fact, the season runs through September. There is still an opportunity to celebrate love, peace and respect in your local communities. We all want a place to feel welcome.

Thank you to the event organizers, our employees and our families for making this parade one of the highlights on our Corporate Social Responsibility calendar.
