New Dawson International building beginning to take shape
With each passing day, our new Dawson International Truck Centres and Dawson Idealease building at 3953 Highway 97 North, near Reid’s Corner, in Kelowna takes significant steps forward to completion, thanks to the great progress made by our team, Dawson Civil, along with the building contractor Scott Builders and the other subcontractors on site.
We are pleased when Dawson companies have the opportunity to work together on significant legacy projects. Dawson Civil has spent months supporting the Dawson International Truck Centres project by completing civil works which include installing sewer, water and sanitary lines, prepping the foundation site for the parking lot and building construction and removing material that is not needed.
We are excited to share that we have completed the exterior of the building outside of décor and are now shifting our focus to the inside.
The electrical and plumbing will be installed shortly, before drywall goes up. Each day, the building increasingly resembles what an industry-leading, state-of-the-art facility should look and feel like.
Soon, towers of shelving units will get put in place for our parts warehouse, as we move from a 400-square-foot. warehouse with nine-foot ceilings, to a spacious 8,000-square-feet with 26-foot ceilings. This expansive warehouse will soon serve as the central hub for Dawson International Truck Centres parts across all our British Columbia Interior locations, providing all locations with access to an even larger inventory of parts.
Outside the building, Dawson Civil continues to install electrical lines and posts for the streetlights, along with grading the lot, prepping it for Dawson Construction to eventually lay brand-new asphalt upon.
